Preparing our roast for Easter Sunday, stuffed with garlic, green pepper, carrots, thyme, rosemary and spices. It will be steamed for 10 hours and then coated with apricot jam and grilled. Served with caramelized pumpkin, greenbeans, hot beetroot with a cheese sauce, rice and baked potatoes. I am getting up at 5 to make a traditional Vinegar Pudding 😋 with Custard. A year ago we were approached by a desperate family to get a lady off the streets and off of drugs. She had been in a few rehabilitation centers but nothing helped to get Martie off of the streets and off of drugs. We welcomed Martie and she started her year program with us voluntarily. Slowly but surely we gained her trust and with lots of group sessions, tears, learning new skills and keeping her to her word she was able to reunite with all her siblings and her children! You are leaving us to spread your wings. Martie my darling, go out there and show everyone that you can do this. We are so incredibly proud of you my girl. YOU DID IT!! My heart is broken to see you go but at the same time we are all so happy for you. The change in you is astounding, wonderful and absolutely amazing! ALWAYS remember that you are never alone and that God loves you. You are beautiful and capable and so worth it. Congratulations sweetheart! Always remember to say this I am beautiful I am brave I am strong I am enough I can do this!!!
