Munsieville Update: Rand Merchant Bank gave the material to have the roof put up for the two classrooms and we were so happy to see it up. The next step is to use pellets to build the walls! The folks at Munsieville are really trying to make this work no matter how they suffer with everyday needs. I am so proud of Hugo and Irene! Leigh xx

SAFRP volunteers went out on Saturday to Munsieville where we had a Braai for them with Pap ( Maize Meal ) rice, Lovely Tomato and onion sauce and the most Amazing Boerewors! 300 residents were fed! It was cold and rainy and the warm food was just the thing to cheer these folks up. We sat with them and listened to their stories and their jokes witch made us laugh quite allot! Thank you to everyone who helped and thank you for all the hard work! Cooking for so many people on a fire is not a joke! Hugo and Irene keep up the good work you are doing at Munsieville. Leigh xx

It is a wonderful new year and we face new challenges this year. SAFRP will be focusing on our Farm Project in 2016. Our aim is to acquire land, build low cost housing, a skills center and a Preschool. Although we have been assisting the camps and some individual families in crisis we feel that it would be best to have our own land where we can teach the parents and children new skills and values. This will be our sole focus for 2016. We will still assist the camps but SAFRP feels that we will be able, with your help to make a better life for the families and their future. We cannot help everyone but the ones we do help will be able to earn a salary and look after their own families. We will focus on the family unit. So many families fall apart because of poverty. Families who fit the criteria will be interviewed, re skilled and assisted in the farm project. Each family will earn their own income by using the tools and skills center to manufacture their own goods to sell. We will start with 3 families and ad more as housing is built. What criteria are we looking at you may ask well here they are. Only Families who are currently living in a camp or homeless will be taken in. 1. NO individual person will be accepted only families - Dad, Mom, and up to 3 children. 2. NO alcohol or drug abuse will be tolerated at any stage what so ever. We will not be a rehab center for drug addicts and alcoholics. A voluntary drug test is advised from both parents. 3. Families with babies and very small children will be taken in first as they are at their most vulnerable. 4. Each child will have a clinic card and be up to date with all the immunizations, If not we will assist to have it done immediately. 5. Each adult will have an Id document. 6. Each parent will learn new skills or practice their known skill in order for them to start earning an income. 7. Each adult WILL attend parenting classes and each child WILL attend the creche or preschool where qualified staff will attend to the little ones. 8. Everyone on the farm will be responsible to grow our own food and tend the animals and water. 9. ALL men will be trained in Basic security and they will be responsible in keeping the farm residents safe at all times. 10. All the goods built or manufactured on the farm by the residents will be sold by the residents them selves at the market in order for them to earn an income themselves. 11. Each family will sign a 1 year contract with SAFRP. Should they want to stay longer in the project they will be assessed and they may sign for another year. 12. NO resident in the program will pay rent but give some of their time to tend to the farm. This is to afford the family to earn and save in order for them to be able to move back into society. 13. A church will be built and anyone is free to attend should they choose to do so. 14. Each family will receive 3 meals a day made in the communal kitchen. 15. Clothing will be provided for the families. 16. A monthly trip will be made to town and clinic for the children and adults. 17. A tuck shop will be set up for any other needs the families might want. 18. Counseling will be provided for those who need it. 19. A progress report will be kept of each family member and child. 20. Should a problem arise with any family our Comity will have a meeting and asses the situation and work hand in hand with the family to rectify the problem. This is just the basic information. Our first priority is to acquire the land. We will be looking at land in the Gauteng area because most of the families affected live in this area. We need your prayers and any information about land that might be available to rent with the option to buy. This is for a great cause and we will need all the help we can get to get this project started. Thank you to everyone that support us. Leigh xx

Hi everyone! Firstly I would like to thank each and everyone of our awesome members on this page without you we would not have been able to do the work we do to alleviate poverty among our people. I would how ever like to ask you this. Due to the new law being passed in South Africa that any racist comment, or action will result in a fine or jail time SAFRP will take no responsibility for any racist remark, personal attack on ANY member or group on this page. Our monitors will work diligently to make sure that all such remarks are removed and the person blocked from this page. We ask you to please inbox us should you find any that our monitors have missed. Yes many folks ask us "Why do you not go back to Europe?" Why do you only assist whites, that is racist? Well here is my answer. 1. The people we assist are already living in abject poverty and they have NO means of ever leaving the country and many believe that this is their country of birth and they DO have a right to stay. There are others that would love to leave but there is NO country in the world that would take them in without them having hundreds of thousands maybe millions (if we look at the rand today) to leave. 2. Due to the over 119 race based laws prohibiting White South Africans from employment more and more families find themselves in crisis. These are NOT people who planned living on the streets! These are NOT folks who are lazy and uneducated! These are ordinary middle class, mostly blue collar workers who have lost their jobs because of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment LAW!! 3. Poverty affects ALL races in South Africa due to the failure and incompetence of a corrupt Government and we SAFRP support any person/s or Organization who assists any race group of their choice! WE ASK THAT WE ARE AFFORDED THE SAME FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION IN OUR OWN COMMUNITIES. 4. Because of these BBBEE laws some Orphanages and other institutions and camps are not compliant with the law due to the fact that they are less than 75% black. This means that there are more white children than black and the Government does NOT support nor assist such an institution with any aid. This means that our Government lets ALL the children suffer because of this LAW!! When we enter a camp, shelter or children's home etc, we give to EVERYONE no matter what race they are. I will NEVER deny a child food because of their race! 5. WE stand for the SURVIVAL and RIGHTS of our white minority group in South Africa and we pledge to make sure that our work continues in a respectful manner as it has been. I thank you all, Leigh xx

PLEASE NOTE: Although we are so grateful for every goods donation like clothing, linen and towels we would like to ask that you do not send us dirty, torn, and unusable items. We do not have the facilities or man power to launder mountains of clothing. We also do not except any dirty and soiled underwear! I cannot tell you the times we have come across such things and it is not a pleasant experience. I would also not have the heart to give this to someone that is already on their knees, I do however thank those who take care when they do donate. Kind Regards, Leigh xx
