This is Tannie Bettie from the Montrosa Kos Kombuis. This lady is a wonderful example to everyone! She works tirelessly everyday to feed the needy in Elandspoort Pretoria. It was an honor to meet her and we will support her 100% in everything that she does. Thank you Tannie Bettie. Leigh xx

And then we visited the folks in the bush they have no job no home. I cannot begin to tell you the difficulties these people have to endure on a daily basis. We had to walk through the long grass to get to the little camp. Just the basic need of WATER is a daily struggle let alone finding food!! Can you imagine living in these horrid conditions in your old age? We were so happy to be able to share the food with these people.

South African Family Relief Project went out yesterday to the poorest of the poor areas in Pretoria to deliver much needed food to about 150 people at the Montrosa Soup Kitchen. We were brought close to tears on several occasions. The smiles of the children and the gratitude of the folks were overwhelming. Thank you so so very much to Isabel Sanderson, Magda Botha, Sarie Scheepers, Rosa Heyene, Elsona Fourie, Maureen Dunmore van Rensburg and Jay Grobler, Michael Trevor Oxley, Marius du Preez for your wonderful contribution!! To be able to feed so many folk in one day takes allot of planning. Thank you everyone!

JACARANDA CAMP - PRETORIA NORTH (Gauteng) Ref.No.: GP/PTA/JP/15815 The folks at the Jacaranda camp do not have ablution facilities and also very little water. This man made himself a little outside bathroom. They also do not have hot water. They make use of drums and make a fire under it "donkey" to heat up water. They then go and take one bucket of water per family to bathe, one can imagine how long it takes to heat up water for all these people. Then it is cooking and cleaning. They wash their clothing by hand in cold water. We all know it is winter and the clothing takes long to dry. They need more drums to be able to heat up more water faster.

JACARANDA CAMP - PRETORIA NORTH (Gauteng) Ref.No.: GP/PTA/JP/15815 This man and his helper is responsible for the building of the wooden houses that you see. He stands the entire day working in the sun to make sure that a next house is built. Why you may ask is this so amazing well... this man has only one leg and yet he does so much for his fellow man. He works everyday all day!!! What a remarkable character. He is a man of few words and when I asked him about his work that he does he was very humble. They are in Pretoria North you can contact Isabel on 0828093548. She will be able to direct you to the camp. Please if you have wooden pellets or any building material these folk truly need it and they work very, very hard to make a better life with what they get. If you can help please contact Leigh on 0727388101. Thank You.

JACARANDA CAMP - PRETORIA NORTH (Gauteng) Ref.No.: GP/PTA/JP/15815 These are some of the dwellings at the Jacaranda camp. There are 75 residents in this camp and 5 children. Even though these people live in severe poverty they work hard to get every little family out of the tents and into small wooden houses that they build themselves!. It is very clean and one can see that every person is valued and respected. They are in Pretoria North you can contact Isabel on 0828093548. She will be able to direct you to the camp. What an AWESOME group of people! Leigh xx

JACARANDA CAMP - PRETORIA NORTH (Gauteng) Ref.No.: GP/PTA/JP/15815 South African Family Relief Project visited a new camp yesterday called Jacaranda and we were reminded that our beautiful country is going backwards faster than we actually realize and then you meet this man "Oom Jacob". He used to live in this box and had a couch, today he has a tiny wooden house made out of wooden pellets! Thanks to wonderful people who donated wood to the camp. He is the sweetest old soul and even though he lives in very bad circumstances his faith is steadfast! We can all learn from him. I sat with him for a while and as he spoke about how wonderful God is to him I knew that he knew the true meaning of Gods love. I asked him if there was anything he needed, he got tears in his eyes and said " All I really wanted was a small radio that works with batteries so that I can listen to Christian radio because they have no electricity and a small gas bottle to cook with". I want to ask everyone...anyone if you can help this truly remarkable man with his beautiful smile to PLEASE contact me Leigh on 0727388101. They are in Pretoria North you can contact Isabel on 0828093548. She will be able to direct you to the camp.
